Francis Fryant.. she lived in a Mexican Style stucco house at the SE corner of Central and Dayton Drive where there is now a gas station...same side as Central Park which used to be called Waterworks Park. Her house was between the RR and Dayton Drive. |

Emerson Palmer Second row from top - second in. Harry Smith - FHS Music Director in the 50's and 60's possibly before, bottom right. Ms. Baver (Mildred?) third from right, bottom, H. K.Baker - bottom Left (Superintendent of FCSchools for many years, and Miss Parker (Millie?) next to Mr. Baker. Ms. Baver and Ms. Parker were teachers in the high school 50's and 60's, Emerson Palmer was a teacher when the Central School was a HS. from 19 mid to late thirties until called up for draft in 1942. After resigning his post at school he was rejected from draft for a physical condition (which it turned out he didn't have) and the district was unable to rehire him. They had already hired someone to take his place. |
